The Israeli Air Force on Sunday evening fired on what it said were two terrorists on a motorbike in the Gaza Strip, badly injuring both of them. Palestinian sources said one of the two subsequently died of his injuries.
The IDF Spokesperson Unit confirmed that the IAF carried out an airstrike. It said one of the men targeted had been involved in a fatal shooting on the Israel-Egypt border in June.
The IDF identified the two men targeted as 23-year-old Tala’at Halil Muhammad Jarbi, a Global Jihad operative from Rafah, and 24-year-old Abdullah Muhammad Hassan Maqawai, a member of the Mujahideen Shura Council of Jerusalem, a Gaza-based Global Jihad affiliate.
