So my article asking why people wanted to ban assault weapons only ever got a couple actual answers, and those were based on easily dispelled misconceptions.  When directly asked why such a ban should be put in place, even its most ardent supporters here on the vine refuse to answer.  Maybe an anonymous poll to find out just what aspects of assault weapons people think should make them so much more restricted (banned) than other semi-auto handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
